Spanish Minor Scale / Phrygian Mode

Any scale that has Spanish or Neapolitan in its name almost always has a 2. This is the note that separates it from the Natural Minor Scale.

Like the Blues Scale, it is a minor scale that works against Major and Dominant chords, the clashing notes providing it with its unique character or color. If you play metal it is essential to learn how to mix and combine this with the Minor Blues Scale.
